Do you enjoy working with metal and do you have an eye for detail? For our client at the Maasvlakte, we are looking for experienced grinders who are responsible for preparing and finishing metal components around the welding process. In this role, you will work in an industrial environment where safety, precision, and quality are key. You will work on large steel structures and ensure that weld seams and workpieces are perfectly prepared and finished. What will you do?
- Preparing and finishing metal workpieces with grinding tools before and after the welding process
- Checking route cards, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure tasks are carried out correctly
- Performing an LMRA (Last Minute Risk Assessment) and ensuring all personal protective equipment is used correctly
- Setting up and operating power tools and grinding equipment according to applicable procedures
- Visually inspecting weld seams and workpieces and correcting or repairing them when necessary
- Registering and scanning completed work according to internal procedures
- Inspecting and maintaining hand tools to ensure they can be used safely and correctly
- Ensuring a safe, tidy, and organized workplace within the production environment
What do we ask from you?
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a grinder or in metalworking
- Valid VCA Basic certificate
- Working at heights certificate (required for work at the Maasvlakte)
- Driver’s license B is a plus
- Minimum language level B1 in Dutch or English
- Safety-conscious and accurate work attitude
What do we offer you?
- Salary between €2,783 and €3,010 gross per month
- Starting salary from €17.13 per hour
- Possibility to work 36 to 60 hours per week
Allowances
- 28% allowance for afternoon shifts
- 35% allowance for night shifts
- 75% allowance for overtime and Saturdays
- 100% allowance for Sundays
